Ofwat has appointed Market Operator Services Limited as the official water market operator.
Market Operator Services Limited (MOSL) has been confirmed as the official Open Water Market operator by regulators, Ofwat.
All water wholesalers and retailers have now been contacted to announce that MOSL will receive support from licensees following confirmation of the firm’s appointment last month.
As of the 1st of April 2017, over 1.2 million eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations in England will be able to switch water suppliers and wastewater services in order to secure a better deal, read more here.
MOSL, Ofwat and the Department for Food, Environment & Rural Affairs (Defra) have worked together closely to deliver the IT system which will handle new registrations, customer switches and settlements between wholesalers and retailers. The system will also provide support and advice on the actions taken by individual water companies to help simplify the switching process.
