Reduce your Carbon emissions: CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme
Larger businesses and public sector organisations must get ready for a major shift in the way they manage their use of energy. From April 2010 anyone with a half hourly meter will be required to register under the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) scheme. Those using at least 6,000MWH/year (a bill of around £500,000) will have additional responsibilities. The CRC Energy Efficiency scheme is self administering and the penalties for failing to comply are £40/tonne of CO2.
