Dubai has made history today, in officially naming October 22nd 'World Energy Day', gulfnews.com has reported. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, headed the signing ceremony of the International Declaration of the World Energy Day alongside 24 heads of states and governments taking part in the three-day World Energy Forum beginning today in Dubai. Dr Harold Hyunshuk Oh, who is President and Chairman of World Energy Forum, commented: "On July 22 this year, when we met His Highness Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid in Dubai he announced that the first day of World Energy Forum of this year, which is October 22, will be marked as the World Energy Day, every year, following its endorsement. Today we are witnessing a new beginning in the move for a new energy civilization." World Energy Day joins a host of other energy-related days, including April 22nd (Earth Day) and June 5th, which is celebrated as World Environment Day. So, from all at Apollo Energy...
